Multimarmore has acquired another company known as Magratex

News

MAGRATEX was founded in 1962 with the aim of exporting marbles, limestones and granites especially to the German market.
It has always been the policy of Magratex to invest in exports and today has a portfolio of clients in more than 50 countries in the world. Internationalization is based on regular representations at the most important fairs of the sector, on-site visits to works and clients, but above all in the positive advertising of our clients. We can be proud of having gained the trust of many companies throughout the world, which is the result of recommendations of satisfied clients.
From the first day on the main concern was focused on the supply of raw material with superior quality, having a permanent presence in the most important quarries. In parallel, two mining areas were started in Estremoz’s anticline, creating two excellent quarries. The “Cruz dos Meninos” quarry in Estremoz produces white marble and the “Trás os Montes” quarry in Vila Viçosa extracts pink marble. The total annual capacity is 10,500 Tons.

In 1982, the Borba factory was started, which is located in the extractive center. The factory is located in an area of 29,500 m2, in which the total covered area is 5,500 m2.
In this factory we installed the most modern top-of-the-range machines, many with CNC numerical control, guaranteeing precision and quality of finishing at the highest level. The processing capacity is 35,000 m2 / month. A group of highly-talented and permanently trained stonemasons produce 150 tons of specific work, such as capitals, mouldings, cornices and any kind of ornamental pieces.

The excellence of the materials, the quality control and the perfection of the packaging, as well as a connection to the permanent stock control system with direct dedicated line to the office in Cascais and to the billing, allow a perfect service.
